Introduction to NAIPUNNYA

Naipunnya School of Management ISO 9001 : 2015 certification, Cherthala was established in the year 2003. It is a self financing college run by arch diocese of Ernakulam And Angamaly . The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala.

It was established in under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mar Thomas Chakkiath who is the first president of Naipunnya School of Management. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kalappurackal, was the first Director of ‘Naipunnya’ and his relentless efforts and dedication actualized Naipunnya from a distant dream to a vibrant reality Naipunnya aims to become a dynamic centre of excellence by motivating the youth to attain their dreams with the support of innovative and quality training programs.

  History

When we look back to 2003, the year of establishment, the institution started its functioning with Certificate Course in Catering Management, Secretarial Practice and Stitching by National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi. In 2004 Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology recognized by KITTS, Department of Tourism, Govt. of Kerala was introduced in the campus considering the vast potentialities in the Hospitality industry. In 2005 BSc Hotel Management and Catering Science, B Com Computer Application and BA Communicative English Courses affiliated to the University of Kerala were started. With these 3 courses and 47 students in 2005, the Naipunnya began the journey to reach the unreachable. From then till now the college has grown in strength, infrastructure and diversified into different branches of studies.

The year 2014 marked another milestone in the history of Naipunnya with the completion of a beautiful 3 storied academic block with Principal’s room, 30 classrooms, staff rooms, office room and sanctioning of Post Graduate courses MA English Language and Literature and MSc Computer Science, making a total of 11 courses and strength of 1000 students.
